Immediately after my newly acquired finger bling, I started spending hours each day hunting for the perfect wedding dress. For months I researched hundreds of designers. Below are some of the labels I found that are perfect for boho, beach and destinations weddings. I hope this list helps any brides-to-be, I know how frustrating it can be.
Lets start with the designer who made my dress, shall we? Her dresses are affordable and do not lack quality. I had a friend get married on the beach a few weeks after I did and she also wore a dress by Ti Adora. These are perfect for coastal weddings.
Who doesn’t love this designer? No one apparently. Their Hollie gown (first picture on bottom) is THE most pinned dress on Pinterest and I’m talking over 2.5 MILLION. By all means, it’s beautiful but I personally did not want to wear something already seen and worn by that many people. After visiting GLL in LA I almost went with the Lottie before I found my dress (first top pic is me in Lottie). Although I sort of wish they had that Rosa gown when I was looking! … Jordan, how do you feel about a vow renewal? 😉 jk.
I didn’t know of Flora before I traveling to Dallas for another dress designer. After my first expensive dress purchase mistake, these fell far from my price range. Which is a shame, considering Flora became one on my favorite designers due to the unique designs and delicate lace. (first pic is me in Flora dress)
How boho is too boho? If you’re looking for gypsy vibes, you found it. These dresses are for the nature lovin’ souls. And that’s all she wrote.
Another affordable bohemian label. Island Tribe carries quite a few long sleeve lace dresses. I really considered sleeves after seeing these, however, it did not sound appealing in 80 degree weather.
This designer has a few labels under it, Watters, Wtoo and Willowby. I’m not really sure what the reason is for each, maybe price point, style or fabric but they are all amazing. Some of these are more boho than others, I’ll show you a few from each label. The dresses above are Watters.
If you are wanting an off-the-shoulder wedding dress, look no further. They have gorgeous sleeved gowns and plenty of shoulder-less. Too bad I couldn’t wear 10 different dresses during my wedding…I would definitely bought one of these.
The reason I flew to Dallas, Texas was to try on the Danni dress (First pic) from this designer. Before that trip was planned, I DM’d questions about the material to brides who were tagged wearing it. Since Made With Love wasn’t sold in any Ohio bridal salons at the time, I couldn’t try it on. I was sure this was “the one” until I received responses from those girls. Some even got snippy at the fact I considered wearing the same dress they did. Rather than listening to others opinions, I traveled to Dallas where conveniently one of my bridesmaids lives. I tried the dress on and needless to say, it was beautiful but not what I imagined wearing for my big day. Good thing I went, right?!
Spell is a actually a bohemian clothing label but it carries a few amazing bridal pieces as well. They even have night gowns, not like you really need to wear one after your wedding anyway 😉
I consider this high end bohemian. Delicate beaded details and smooth flowy fabrics is what makes this label different from other super lacey boho dresses.
Another prominent designer all over Pinterest, I would describe this style as bohemian luxe. She strategically places beading and embellishments onto the lace for a stunning combination.
I stumbled on this label and though there are not many gown options, I was surprise it didn’t have a larger following on Instagram. Lovers Society is for the free spirited bride with some rather interesting styles.
Jane Hill is a designer I’ve loved for years. the dresses are very well put together for a boho chic look. These are perfect beach bridal gowns.
Studio Minc makes a Mrs. Minc collection. Only 7 of the 16 designs are over 1k (max $1,200) making this one of the most affordable beach bridal labels I am sharing with you. This was my back up if I didn’t find anything else. Shipping takes a couple weeks but you do not have to order 8 months before your wedding like most bridal designers.
Nektaria makes amazing dresses. This was my DREAM dress, the dress I tried so hard to get it but couldn’t fathom spending 9k on. You will come across gorgeous gowns during your search, many of which, will be way out of the price range. As much as you try to work it into the budget just remember, this is one day. ONE DAY. Money spent on experiences are far more important than money spent on material things. I promise those memories will go farther than the dress being stored in your closet until your future daughter opens it and tells you it’s ugly.
